Psychometric assessment
Know who you are backing before you back them.
Matchie is a psychometric assessment platform. You send a candidate a structured questionnaire; you get back a scored profile of the traits that decide whether they stay and deliver: resilience, dependability, drive, and the rest. It is what a CV and an hour in a room usually miss.

Two assessments. Pick the decision you are making.
I am assessing a founder
For investors deciding whether the person pitching them is still building this in three years. Measures entrepreneurial mindset, from resilience through to whether intent has ever turned into action.
See what it measuresI am hiring yacht crew
For owners and managers who keep losing junior crew mid-season without notice. Measures commitment, dependability, and tolerance for being a long way from home.

You send the assessment
Add a candidate, or import a list. Each person gets an emailed link. No account to create, no software to install.
- 02
They answer on their own time
Around a hundred short questions, on a phone if that is what they have. Progress saves, so an interruption does not cost them the run.
- 03
You get a scored profile
A PDF report showing where they sit on every trait, plus an Excel export of the underlying scoring if you want to dig.
Questions we get before the first call
What does Matchie actually measure?
Traits, not knowledge or skill. Each assessment scores a person against a set of constructs (resilience, dependability, service mindset, and so on) built from many short items rather than a handful of long questions. The output is a profile across those constructs, not a single pass or fail number.
How long does an assessment take to complete?
Both instruments run to roughly a hundred short items and are designed to be finished in one sitting, on a phone if that is what the respondent has. Progress is saved, so a person who is interrupted resumes where they left off.
Can candidates game it?
They can try, and the assessments are built expecting it. About half the items in each are written in the negative, so agreeing with everything produces a contradictory profile rather than a flattering one. The yacht assessment goes further, using question formats where being agreeable is not an available strategy. Responses are also checked for internal consistency, and we do not publish how.
Who sees the results?
You do. Reports are generated for the organisation that ran the assessment, delivered as a PDF profile and an Excel export of the underlying scoring. Respondents complete their assessment through a separate portal and do not see other people's results.
